Well, we just had our first snow fall of the season on Sept. 29th. (By the way, this isn't a picture at my house. I just found it on the web!) The kids were so excited to make a snow man but we spent the night at my mom's house and by the time we got home, it had all melted away. They were really jealous because our next door neighbors had a big snow man in their yard. I wanted to rush home to take pictures of the kids playing while the snow was falling, but even though it snowed the majority of the way home, it gradually turned to rain and then just to a cloudy day. Oh, well. Luckily we usually get many snow days where we live. Because of the cold we have been able to build a few fires in our wood burning stove this season. I love the smell of burning wood and of course the warmth that fills the house. If I could, I would have a fire burning all day everyday during the Fall and Winter seasons. Well, everybody.... keep warm!
