Anyway, then I rushed up to my Foot Zoning class. It went from 10am to 4pm today. I was almost going to have to miss it because we had friends coming into town, but plans changed (AGAIN) and so I was able to make it, which I am SO glad because they said that it was one of the worst classes to miss all year. It was such a fun class today too! My brain actually worked part of the time and I was able to focus pretty well. We learned about 12 nerves in the brain and we played a speed game to see who could put them in order the fastest. I WON! YAY!!! Plus, lunch was absolutely fabulous again, of course!! I love their food. We actually had a veggie pizza with zucchini on it, which normally I probably wouldn't even try, but it really was yummy.
After class, I ran to my grandma's and picked up something I had left there earlier and then I went to the 4-H office to pick up Tyra's Clover Bud projects. She got a pretty rainbow participation ribbon and a 50 cent piece for each of her projects. TJ got a blue ribbon on each of his, so they are entering them into the state fair for us. I thought that was AWESOME!!! After that, I ran and picked up my kids and came straight back in to their 'Back to School Night' at their schools. Actually, we missed TJ's because it was earlier then I thought, but we went to Tyra's and she got to meet her teacher and pick out her desk and etc. Then we ran back into town and dropped TJ off at his scout banquet at the swimming pool. I have no idea what they were thinking having it the day before school started, but WHATEVER. We got there a little late, but it all worked out and he had lots of fun.
Tyra and Braxton thought they were starving to death by this time, so I took them to Taco Time to eat. That was fun! Then I got gas, came home, put them to bed and then TJ got home. I just got him to bed and decided to blog a little. You know, people all of the time tell me how crazy I am to do so much running around with my kids, but I'll tell you what....... I absolutely LOVE it!! I feel like, while they are young and living with us, it is just part of what being a mom is all about, and I really do LOVE it. I just wouldn't change a thing, unless of course I could change the GAS prices!!! What is even better, is that my bills are paid and I even have a clean house right now too. It is so nice to be able to blog right now with out something hanging over my head that I should be doing instead.
Anyway, I really will miss this summer. It started out a little rocky with Tommy's sister dying, but I had so many fun activities for the kids to do that we got into the swing of things pretty quick. Some things happened in the middle of summer that kind of flew me for a loop for a while, but I feel like I am able to deal with that better now and with having swim camp as our last HOORAH of the summer, it has ended great!!! (Plus, we still have projects that the kids weren't able to finish, so we can save some of them for the weekends.) But, no matter how great summer was, I really am ready to get back into a good scheduled life again. So, "Good bye summer" and I am looking forward to a GREAT school year! TJ and Tyra are going to both be going to full days of school now, so it's just going to be me and Braxton at home, except for the days he goes to preschool. I am not sure WHAT I will do with myself THEN! Well, for everyone that is starting school....... GOOD LUCK and STUDY HARD!
